WATER, THE MIRROR OF THE WORLD
Kerala abounds with water and rain. Casual eyes just see them as water drops. But its content is pulsating energy. It has a Soul. It is life. It is alive. It communicates with us in myriad ways. It creates and reflects many moods. It never, ever remains the same. It is changing, the very mirror of life and the world.

Why an Art Center at Alappuzha?
The landscape of art appreciation in India has undergone a significant transformation in recent decades. A burgeoning interest in the arts has led to the establishment of art galleries in numerous cities across the country, providing platforms for artists to showcase their work and for the public to engage with art. However, this progress was not mirrored in my hometown of Alappuzha. The absence of a dedicated space for public art exhibitions was a significant hurdle for me as a young artist growing up in Kerala. The lack of opportunities to exhibit my work and engage with a wider audience was a constant source of frustration.
Despite the challenges, my passion for art never wavered. I continued to pursue my artistic endeavors, eventually finding opportunities to work both in India and abroad. Throughout my journey, the dream of establishing an Art Museum in Alleppey remained close to my heart. I envisioned a space that would not only showcase art but also foster a sense of community and provide a platform for artistic expression.
After years of dedication and perseverance, I am thrilled to have finally realized this dream. Together with my wife and fellow artist Sylvie Bantle, who hails from Germany, we have established an Art Museum in Alleppey. This endeavor is not merely a personal accomplishment but also a contribution to the cultural landscape of my hometown and the broader art community in Kerala.
